Hello FACS Family!

I am honored to serve as the 2021-22 FACS Alumni Board President. 

FACS is truly an incredible place for students and alumni alike. During my time in Dawson Hall, I developed friendships that will last a lifetime, as I am sure many of you have as well. 

This past year was met with lots of challenges as the alumni board adapted to a new normal under COVID-19. I am extremely proud of how the we pivoted to keep alumni active and engaged during a time when we were not able to be physically together. 

I want to take this time to thank the board for their hard work and dedication to ensuring a successful year of events for our alumni. 

Looking forward, we’ve added 12 new members to the board this year, which brings our total members to 39 dedicated individuals who live across various states and represent all of the areas of academic study within FACS. 

This year, we are excited to bring back in-person events, and I hope you’ll join us! 

FACS events are a fantastic way to connect with FACS alumni from all over. 

Please mark your calendars and plan to join us for the following events: 

• October 13, 2021: Dogs with the Dean
• October 16, 2021: Homecoming Tailgate
• February 10, 2022: FACS Day at the Capitol
• March 26, 2022: 43rd Alumni Awards Event

The alumni board’s mission is to keep alumni, students, and faculty involved with and connected to the college. If it has been a while, I encourage you to reconnect with your FACS family and join us through volunteerism, networking, mentorship, donations, or participation in our events throughout the year. 

I am so proud to be a graduate of FACS, and I hope to see you at our events this year! Go Dawgs!
